Buying a table you have never touched is the real risk in this transaction. This page is how we take part of it off you. Read it with the shipping policy and the terms of sale.
1. Thirty days
You have 30 days from the date your piece is delivered to tell us you want to return it. No reason is needed.
The piece has to go back unused and in its original crate, so keep the crate until you are certain. A piece that has been used, oiled again, modified or repacked in something else cannot be accepted.
2. How to start a return
- Write to us through the contact page with your order number.
- We send a return authorization. Do not ship anything back without one, because an unannounced crate at the workshop cannot be matched to an order.
- For parcel pieces we send a return label. For freight pieces we book a pickup with the carrier and give you a window.
- Repack the piece in its crate exactly as it arrived, with the same protection around it.
3. Who pays the return shipping
| 02 Dining Chair, 04 Lounge Chair, 05 Side Table, parcel | We pay |
| 01 Dining Table, 03 Dining Bench, freight | Buyer pays |
Moving a 145 lb crate back across the country is a real cost. We would rather charge it to the small number of people who send a table back than build it into the price everybody pays.
4. Refunds
Refunds go to the original payment method once the piece is back in the workshop and has been checked. The refund covers what you paid for the piece. The freight you paid to receive it is not refunded, because that transport happened. If a piece comes back damaged because it was not repacked in its crate, we will show you the damage in photographs before we deduct anything.
5. Damage in transit
Transit damage is ours to fix, not yours to chase with the carrier.
- Photograph the crate before you cut it open.
- Photograph the piece before you move it.
- If you can, open the crate while the freight driver is still there and note the damage on the delivery paperwork before you sign.
- Send us the photographs as soon as you have them.
We ship a replacement part or a replacement piece and we arrange collection of the damaged one. You do not pay freight a second time.
6. Warranty: 10 years on construction
We warrant the construction of every piece for 10 years from the delivery date, to the original buyer, on proof of purchase.
Covered
- A joint that opens or works loose.
- A leg or a frame member that loosens or fails.
- A top that splits at a glue line.
- Hardware that fails in normal indoor use.
Not covered
- The oil finish. It is a maintenance surface, and re-oiling is a normal owner job described on the care page.
- Marks, dents, scratches, water rings and heat marks.
- Color change. Teak darkens indoors, unevenly if the light is uneven. That is the wood.
- Cushion covers and foam.
- Damage from a piece kept outdoors, in a garage, in a basement, or anywhere wet.
- Damage from a heat source directly under or against the piece.
- Commercial use, transport by the owner, modification, or repair by anyone else.
What we do about it
We repair the piece, or we replace the failed part, or we replace the piece, in that order. We choose which, and we pay the freight both ways on a valid claim. If a piece is no longer made, we replace it with the closest current equivalent or refund the original price.
Making a claim
Write to us through the contact page with your order number, photographs of the failure and a description of where the piece has lived. We answer with a decision, not with a form.
7. What this does not affect
This warranty is in addition to any rights you have under the law of your state that cannot be waived.
8. Who to write to
Clearbridge Commerce LLC, 420 SW 7th St Ste 1015, Miami, FL 33130, United States. Email support@clear-bridge.store with your order number. Do not ship anything back before we have sent you a return authorisation and a label; a crate that arrives unannounced cannot be matched to an order.
